From the moment Addilyn stepped into her dress to the final dance party, her and Deshawn’s wedding day was filled with joy, reverence, and so much love. Their ceremony, held in their home church in Russellville, Missouri, was a deeply personal and spiritual beginning to a day that celebrated their connection and their community.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was how grounded it felt. Addilyn and Deshawn surrounded themselves with the people who know them best—family who cheered them on and friends who kept them laughing from start to finish. As a Jefferson City wedding photographer, these are the moments I love to capture most—the little in-between glances, the quiet prayers, the loud laughter in the reception speeches.

After portraits and a beautiful ceremony, the celebration continued at The Millbottom in downtown Jefferson City. With its industrial charm and warm, modern styling, the space came alive with soft candlelight, dancing, and heartfelt toasts. The couple’s attention to detail made everything feel thoughtful and beautiful, but never overdone. It was elegant, emotional, and above all, real.
