- Keep it Neutral. A neutral color palette photographs best in the natural light studio. Soft creams, blushes, blues and greens are all good color choices. Stray away from wearing bold or bright colors.
- Subtle Patterns. Patterns are great, but remember to keep them subtle. Mixing patterns is a great way to bring visual interest to your outfits. Mixing a small floral pattern on mom with a subtle stripe on a kid’s outfit brings the outfits together while still maintaining individuality. Have fun experimenting with pattern mixing, just remember that patterns should flow together and not distract.
- Start with Mom’s outfit and plan around it. Mom, you are the glue that keeps it all together! Pick an outfit that you feel great in and design your family’s outfits around it. When Mom is comfortable, confident and happy – everyone is having a great time!
