Some weddings carry a quiet weight that you can feel in the room—and Arthur and Madison’s courthouse ceremony was one of them.
Set inside the Boone County Courthouse in Columbia, Missouri, this intimate wedding was deeply personal to Madison and her family. Decades earlier, her grandfather served as a judge in this very courthouse. To honor that legacy, Arthur and Madison were married directly beneath his portrait, surrounded by the warmth and support of their closest loved ones.
The ceremony was simple, sweet, and filled with joy. Madison’s grandmother beamed from the audience, and every guest seated behind the couple watched on with proud, teary eyes. The whole room felt wrapped in love and legacy.
After their “I do’s,” we stepped outside to soak up the summer sunshine and capture portraits around the courthouse—some on timeless film and others in crisp digital. Madison looked absolutely radiant in her draped ivory dress, and Arthur couldn’t stop smiling at her.
Their love was effortless to document—elegant, genuine, and full of joy. This wasn’t just a wedding day. It was a family story continuing, a tribute to the past and a celebration of the future.
Arthur and Madison, thank you for trusting me to preserve such a meaningful chapter. It was truly an honor to witness and photograph your love.
