Last month we drove to Chicago Illinois where we spent the most delightful day with Kayla and Mike.  Every once in a while we like to venture out of our Mid Missouri bubble and take a girls trip to Chicago – just to see what our cameras will find.  And this time they found Kayla and Mike in the Windy City!

Chicago Illinois Engagement

If there’s such a thing as a ‘spirit city’ then Kayla and Mike’s would be Chicago.  Having lived there for  several years, these two are right at home in the mid-western metropolis.  They took us to some of their favorite spots and it was clear to see how much love they have for this city.  Not only was our time with them photographically delightful, but after spending an entire day with Kayla and Mike we are now the best of friends.  We got to know each other well as we roamed the city looking for the perfect light.  We learned that Kayla is a hip cat lady and that Mike once modeled as a kid.  As you can see in the photos, Mike’s experience really shines!  And we’re trying to find a way for Kayla to incorporate those cats in the wedding – perhaps Mike can wear a cat tie?

Throughout it all we had the best time with these two.  They are so wonderfully kindhearted and their love shines through in every photo.  We expect nothing short of amazing for their wedding day next June and can’t wait until we see them again!
