Columbia Missouri Engagement Session for McCall & Matt

Not long ago McCall and Matt joined me at one of my favorite places for their Columbia Missouri engagement session – the University of Missouri’s White Campus.  They quickly become two of my favorite people and therefore I knew this session was going to be amazing!  I love getting to know our Love Tree couples and after only a few minutes of chatting I learned that Matt had just recently proposed to McCall.  Just a couple of weeks prior to this, he presented her with her dream ring – a custom Heidi Gibson masterpiece.  They had talked about getting engaged towards the end of graduation, but Matt completely caught her off guard by proposing beforehand.  Well done Matt!  McCall is one lucky girl!

After a while, we walked around campus and chatted about their upcoming wedding plans while hunting for the perfect light.  This was one of my first solo shoots with film and I was so excited to be starting with such a wonderful couple.  I knew that film would be the best medium to capture their affections! Once we found the perfect spot and began shooting, I couldn’t get enough of their laughter and joy.  They lit up my camera with their authenticity.  McCall and Matt were so easy-going and I could see the genuine love and affection that poured out between them.  We all laughed as Matt whisper funny jokes to McCall which as a result made her light up with laughter.  I don’t know what he said but it worked!  It was the perfect day for an engagement session and I got to spend it with the best people!

Congratulations McCall and Matt!  You are beautiful people inside and out!
