A Picture-Perfect Day: Capturing Blue Bell Farm’s Summer Paint and Picnic Event

This summer, I had the delightful opportunity to photograph the enchanting Summer Paint and Picnic event at Blue Bell Farm in Fayette, Missouri. Nestled on a serene hilltop, Blue Bell Farm is a picturesque setting that perfectly complements an afternoon of creativity and camaraderie.

A Serene Setting for Creativity

Upon arriving at Blue Bell Farm, I was immediately captivated by it’s tranquil ambiance.  For example, the air filled with the sweet melodies of birds chirping, and a gentle breeze added to the serene atmosphere. The farm, with its rolling hills and whispering trees, created a perfect backdrop for the event.  Above all, this idyllic setting was the canvas for a truly memorable day.

Artistic Exploration with Caitlin Allen

Meanwhile, the heart of the event was a watercolor instruction session led by the talented St. Louis artist, Caitlin Allen. Caitlin’s expertise and gentle guidance inspired attendees to embrace their artistic sides. It was heartwarming to see how quickly the group bonded, with everyone encouraging and praising each other’s artistic endeavors. The joy and laughter shared among the participants were as vibrant as the watercolors on their canvases.

A Delectable Picnic by Beet Box

After the creative session, the attendees were subsequently treated to a delicious picnic provided by Beet Box, a beloved local restaurant from Columbia. We gathered under Blue Bell’s charming porch, where we could relish the cool breeze and the stunning views. The picnic spread was a feast for both the eyes and the palate, perfectly complementing the day’s artistic theme.

Capturing the Essence of the Event

As a photographer, events like the Summer Paint and Picnic are certainly a dream come true. The natural beauty of Blue Bell Farm, the artistic spirit of the attendees, and the delectable food created countless moments worth capturing.
