As summer began to wind down, I had the joy of photographing the Bryant family at their beautiful farm. The evening was filled with golden light, laughter, and the sweetest reminders of why homegrown sessions are always some of my favorites.
We began on their land, where their historic white farmhouse and wraparound porch set the stage for timeless family portraits. The girls ran through the grass, and we paused to capture moments of silliness, hugs, and that irreplaceable in-between magic. Their family’s chickens, very much part of their everyday life, made the perfect addition to our portraits. Watching the girls gently hold them was such a sweet reflection of the simple, meaningful rhythms of farm life.
As the sun dipped lower, we headed toward the lake at the edge of their property. There, the evening unfolded into pure summer nostalgia—sandcastles, toy boats, splashes in the water, and even a slice of watermelon to close the night. The soft glow of the sunset turned everything golden, creating the dreamiest backdrop for our final images.
This session was such a beautiful reminder of how family photography can capture more than just faces—it tells the story of a season, a home, and the love that ties it all together. Ending summer on the lake with the Bryant family was truly the perfect way to close the chapter on this season.
